The mattress is the heart of it. Which construction carries you is decided lying down, not on a spec sheet: firmness, spring core, topper and cover all interact, and every change alters how the bed feels. That is why we advise by appointment — a lying test worth the name takes more than five minutes.

Four steps to your boxspring bed
A boxspring bed is not a single piece of furniture but a system of four layers. Each one changes how the bed feels — which is why we go through them in this order.
The mattress
It carries you, and it determines everything that follows. Firmness, spring construction and materials are matched to your weight, your preferred sleeping position and how warm you sleep. We take the time this needs.
The box spring base
The base absorbs what the mattress should not have to. Its spring system has to suit your body and the mattress you chose — only together do they give the support that relieves your back overnight.
The topper
The top layer sets the first impression as you lie down: softer, warmer or cooler, depending on the material. It also protects the mattress and is easier to replace later than the whole bed.
The headboard
The only part you see rather than feel. From a restrained panel to deep buttoned quilting, this is where it is decided how the bed sits in the room. If you read in bed, it doubles as a comfortable backrest.

If you configure individually, your bed is made by hand; allow around eight to ten weeks from order confirmation.
Made to measure
Unusual dimensions, a sloping ceiling, an existing design scheme? We also build your bed to measure — extra lengths and special widths included.
Cover and colour are chosen on site; King Koil alone offers 50 fabrics and 100 colours.

In addition to each brand’s own manufacturer warranty, we give twenty-five years of cover against frame and spring breakage on every mattress and boxspring bed.
Hotels and hospitality
A substantial share of our beds does not stand in bedrooms but in houses whose guests expect something the next morning. That collaboration is where our contract range comes from — built for continuous use.
For hotels, holiday lets and contract projects we also build bespoke pieces that fit an existing interior.
Delivery, assembly, disposal
We deliver your bed to your home and assemble it. We take the packaging back and dispose of it responsibly — and your old bed too, if you wish.

We carry several manufacturers side by side, from more affordable hotel products to the British workshops. That allows advice that need not end at one brand.
