Mattresses and toppers
Every item you can purchase from HGC Cocoon GmbH (Cocoon) is of very high quality. Assuring that quality is therefore close to our hearts. Service is what drives us, and so we wish always to be able to stand as guarantor for the satisfaction of our customers.
In addition to the guarantee, Cocoon applies a number of further provisions:
The guarantee period begins on the date stated on the customer’s invoice.
Guarantee for mattresses and toppers
Cocoon grants a linear five-year guarantee on mattresses. This guarantee applies where Cocoon’s care instructions, including the use of a high-quality mattress protector, have been correctly observed and the product has been in normal domestic use.
– Year 1: full guarantee
– Years 1–2: 20 % depreciation
– Years 2–3: 40 % depreciation
– Years 3–4: 60 % depreciation
– Years 4–5: 80 % depreciation
– After year 5: 75,- € call-out charge
All depreciation is based on the current price level.
Conditions
In the case of material or manufacturing faults, the resulting defect will be remedied in accordance with Cocoon’s guarantee conditions. If a defect cannot be remedied, the product will be replaced, in accordance with these conditions, by the same product or, if this is no longer available, by a product of equal value. There is no entitlement under the guarantee in the case of defects or damage caused by improper handling (e.g. by overloading), by incorrect or improper use or by normal wear and tear. The guarantee can be granted only if the original invoice is presented. For this reason you should keep it in a safe place. The guarantee period is limited to the lifetime of the original purchaser. Reduced items and display stock are excluded from the 5-year guarantee.
Further guarantee conditions
– If a part is repaired or replaced within the guarantee period, the remaining guarantee period of the product as a whole applies to that part.
– Mattresses and mattress toppers: under normal use, a local loss of height (contour deformation) of 2 to 2,5 cm is acceptable, so that such a loss of height is not covered by the guarantee. Mattresses and mattress toppers with natural-material upholstery may lose up to 10% of their height in places in the form of a body impression. This is a specific product characteristic which does not constitute grounds for complaint and is, as a rule, intended.
– Mattresses and mattress toppers may deviate from the original size by 1 cm in length and width.
– Boxsprings, mattresses and mattress toppers lose up to 15 % of their shape and their supportive capacity over time under normal use. This loss is normal wear and tear and is not covered by the guarantee.
