In the best location in Düsseldorf – on the prestigious Königsallee – lies the city’s most exclusive and historically significant address: the Breidenbacher Hof hotel.
With a history spanning over 200 years, the hotel was on the verge of decay by the late 1990s. It was subsequently rebuilt and has since shone in new splendor—more luxurious than ever before.
The history of Breidenbacher Hof began with its opening in 1812. By the mid-19th century, it was already considered one of the city’s finest establishments, welcoming distinguished guests from politics and European royal families.
Among its most notable visitors were Duke Maximilian of Bavaria and Tsar Alexander II. However, after nearly two centuries of success, the prestigious hotel required a fresh start in the late 1990s. It was demolished, rebuilt, and reopened in 2008 as the new Breidenbacher Hof.
The luxurious furnishings and breathtaking views of the Rhine and Düsseldorf’s Old Town make these suites truly exceptional.
